Let me start by saying I am a loyal shooter of Canon. I have two film and digital SLR cameras and love them very much. If you need a digital point and shoot with me, if the application DSLR-wear was not possible, I saved my pennies and bought a G9. The G9 is a great point and shoot, which I recommend unreservedly.
So why do a review for Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ10; Well, about a week ago, I would let my G9 and lens in the open position. I send to Canon for repair. In the meantime, but I was not digital point and shoot. I did not want to spend a boat-load of money. My first thought was to get another Canon. I have tried some of the lowest cost versions, especially the A590IS. It's a nice camera, and I quite liked the IQ (but not as strong as my G9). It felt like this in my hand, or the fact that it felt a little weak. So I started to look around. . . and other brands.
During the investigation I gave the order Lumix appear. I was curious. I wanted a more specific search. It then found that the LZ10 wants almost all my needs / meets are:
1) Cost – I will not spend and arm and a leg in a camera too much, while the other would be used in the laboratory.
2) Size – I wanted a camera small enough to be taken alone, is not intrusive.
3) IQ – I wanted a camera that was able to add pictures with easy to create proper image quality. I wanted low noise and good analysis. Would not think of me, I fool DSLR quality, but I did not even play with the "plan" photos.
4) Control Over predetermined "scenes" – I am very happy that I can shoot in shutter priority, aperture priority and manual. I will use occasionally running the program, but often avoid the "scene" or "Creative" mode.
5) Build quality – I want my camera and I will bring with me every day. The production quality is an important issue.
6) File Format – In an ideal world I would like to RAW capability.
7) battery – the dough together my G9 was not much of a problem because it uses the same batteries found in my big DSLR. . . Batteries that I was before, but not yet used. I was at an entirely new set of batteries and stakeholders, Standard Association Agreements were very attractive.
looks – yes, stealing a piece of vanity now and then.
So, how the DMC-LZ10 stack; Damn cheap, I say.
1) Cost – It was right in my wheelhouse. I think it is a good value for money.
2) Size – This camera is surprisingly small, not feeling teeny. The ergonomics are good. . . feels "right" in his hand.
3) IQ – For a camera in this price category, I am very pleased with the picture quality very satisfied. The anti-shake works well, and above all-hit-to-miss ratio appears quite favorable. The lens is Leica (a good performer even if the photos were taken not to confuse people with M8) and the wide-angle end is very useful) to 30mm (equivalent.
4) Control Over predetermined "scenes" – Yes. . . It has shutter priority, aperture priority, manual and program modes. Certainly has all the "creative" and "Scene" modes, and intelligent Panasoinc the "Auto", which really think too much about you.
5) Build quality – unlike the Canon A590IS, the DMC-LZ10 one focal point of the metal body feels substantial.
6) File Format – Here, where the camera does little. There is support for RAW, only JPG.
7) Battery – AA batteries it. I Eneloops and function well.
No Out – Do I have to admit they look good this camera. It is elegant, with a touch of retro feel that I like.
At the end, I am very happy with my choice for the Lumix DMC-LZ10. Very happy because I do not plan on shelves G9 time income from my business. I want a way to see it flowing in my job everyday use.

This is an old camera Kodak Instamatic, even if it resembles one. This camera is a miniature. It fits into a pocket or the palm. It comes with all the bells and whistles you need to photograph a variety of different lighting conditions. I chose this camera over some of the other cameras, Panasonic, because it allows for manual aperture and shutter speed. Furthermore, it allows for time-exposure photographs. Therefore, I would recommend this camera for a little more advanced skills in photography. The zoom is good and the image stabilization works well. Above all I want this camera for 8 of the 10 moved 1 point, because Panasonic just might have triggered a 3-inch screen on the back off and not over 2 ½ inches and another point for the consumption battery. Keep a couple of batteries on hand

I bought this camera for my brother recommdation. It has a lot of photography and said it was one of the best value cameras with lens Leica. I love it. The images that come with such clarity. The camera records details that I can not see with my own eyes. The video features are also nice. I bought this with the extra memory and batteries.
