The filters screw into both the camera and the lens shade so that the shade does not have to be removed in order to change filters. The filters are also threaded so that the lens shade can be screwed into them so the lens shade can be removed without removing the protective neutral density filter. The filters perform as advertised. The filter cases employ a cam-lock that secures the filter. Cosmetically, I’d rather they were also available in the same matte black as the camera’s lens shade and the casing for the camera.
